I didn’t know this until today. My heart goes out to this family. I am a friend of Ellen’s from back when we were waitresses at the Newton Country Club. I am so sorry to hear this. I loved working with her. Jewell Kent Cartwright.

Ellen was my neighbor years ago at Landmark West, and I would see her at Max's Station House. We remained friends on FB. She even spotted me at a Giants game! What a warm caring person she was. She never had a bad word to say about anyone. My thoughts and prayers prayers go out to her family. Rest in peace my friend. You will be greatly missed ... ❤

Ellen was a smile. She radiated kindness, compassion, and caring for others. It was a privilege for us to work with her when she volunteered to help and be our treasurer for building the roller hockey rink in Independence, years ago. As Ellen battled cancer, she always inspired us with her hope and determination to live and love her family. She will be truly missed!

My condolences to all of Ellen’s family and my dear friend Heather. Your Mom always had a smile on her face no matter what she faced. She seemed to be invincible when challenged by the unforgiving curse of her illness. May you know that she is at peace as you struggle through these dark days.

Ellen was one of the inspiring women I have ever met. She endured through her battle with cancer with grace and faith. I am thankful to call her my neighbor but even more so my friend. This quote came up today and it speaks so beautifully of Ellen, She made broken look beautiful and strong look invincible. She walked with the universe on her shoulders and made it look like a pair of wings. You will be greatly missed Ellen.

I was lucky to have known Ellen for the last five years, working with her in my office at the West Morris Regional HSD. She always jumped in and helped where ever needed. Her face lit up the room when she smiled, and she smiled often. She was a trooper, she was always upbeat and positive. In behalf of the West Morris Regional School District I send our Condolences to her family and friends. She will surely be missed. Nancy Genuardi.
