Kristen Marie Feeney
Died: Feb 22, 2020
Feeney
Kristen Marie Feeney died peacefully at University of Pennsylvania hospital on Saturday, February 22nd.

Born on September 29, 1967 she was the daughter of Margaret (Lynch) Shea and James W. Shea. She was raised in Randolph, New Jersey, where she grew up with her beloved sister, Suzanne and her brother, Jim.

She graduated from Randolph High School in 1985. Then In 1989, she earned her bachelor degree in Human Resources from Arcadia University.  Kristen’s professional career took her from Chubb Institute where she excelled as a management recruiter, to Feeney Associates, the family food business, where she was an invaluable member of the team.

One night in 1990, Kristen was out with her friends when she noticed a handsome man in a leather jacket; he turned out to be the love of her life – her husband, Patrick Feeney.  Pat and Kristen made their first home in Rockaway, New Jersey.  During that time, they had two children – Shannon and Sean. Soon after the birth of their son Sean, the Feeney’s moved to Blairstown where they built their current home and found a community they loved.

Family meant everything to Kristen.  She was always ready to jump in and help at a moment’s notice. She supported Shannon and Sean in all their endeavors.  Whether it was taking photographs of Sean and his friends from the sidelines, or cheering on Shannon at a softball game, Kristen was there, in the heart of it all.  Kristen loved the beach and time with family and friends; they spent many relaxing days at their summer home in Forked River, New Jersey.  She is loved.  She will be missed.

She is survived by her loving husband, Patrick R. Feeney, her daughter, Shannon and her son, Sean; her parents James and Margaret Shea; her brother, Jim Shea; her sister, Suzanne and husband, Rick Parker; her aunt, Sister Eleanor Marie Shea; her uncle Francis Lynch and family; her beloved 10 nieces and nephews; and her large, extended family.

Visitation will be held at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840 on Thursday, February 27, 2020 from 1-3 and 5-9 pm.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Jude’s Church, 7 Eisenhower Road, Columbia, NJ at 11 am on Friday, February 28, 2020. Please meet at church on Friday

Condolences:

I knew Kristen from The Chubb Institute. I was only 21 when I started working there yet age didnt matter, everyone seemed to work well together. I couldn’t have asked for better people to work with as my first “real” full time job. Everyone.was excited and shocked when I got engaged and Kristen attended my wedding, while pregnant, with Shannon and she still boogied the night away. I stopped working to start a family and moved to Forked River. And to my surprise one day we met in the Shoprite. She bought a house there too After reminiscing for a while we decided to seta date for lunch. I think a month later we went to Perkins where I told her I had Parkinson’s Disease. She was so comforting and caring that a little later on we had lunch again and we were planning to go fishing on her boat(2 out of my 4 love fishing) In the meantime I organized a Blue Claws fundraiser, in which I asked for volunteers. Kristen was one of my first volunteers, along with Shannon. It was one of the hottest days of summer and I so appreciated their help. I deeply and truly from the bottom of my heart sorry that I can.not be there to give you my condolences in person. I really owed that to her, for what she did for me. But my Parkinson's symptoms are flaring up because I am in need of back surgery(March 9). My PD meds are working against my pain meds and visa versa Pat, Shannon and Sean - Im so so sorry for your loss. Kristen was an amazing friend that Im so glad I got to know her more personably I would like to ask one favor, if in the future, whenever your ready or if you are ever ready (which i totally understand if you dont want to). Can u take me and the 2 kids that like the boat out for a ride and id like to have a drink for her 908-334-1496 ALWAYS WITH YOU AND ALWAYS IN YOUR HEARTS❤️
