Manuel "Manny" J. Sosa

 Manuel J. Sosa “Manny” of Hackettstown passed away on October 19, 2014 at NYU Langone Medical Center. 

Manny was born January 2, 1944 in Cardenas, Cuba.  He was the son of the late Pablo and Rosalia (Hernandez) Sosa. 

Manny was a Financial Advisor with Lincoln Investment Planning.   He was an avid reader, enjoyed dancing and golfing.  He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, member of the American Legion Post #0164, a member of the VFW Post 2833 and DAV.    

Manny is survived by his wife; Barbara (Coppola) Sosa, 2 daughters; Jamie Bressler and husband Richard, Morgan Sosa-LaBohne and husband Christopher, 2 brothers; Pablo Sosa and wife Maria, Antonio Sosa and wife Tere,  1 stepson; Christopher Powell, 2 step daughters; Sondra Powell and Jennifer Koroski and husband Michael, and 7 grandchildren; Maggie, Emerson, Quinn, Gavin, Matthew, Michael, and Joseph. 

Visiting hours will be on Saturday November 1, 2014 at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ  07840 from 12 noon – 3pm. 

Following visitation a memorial service will begin at 3:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Joseph  McCarthy officiating.

 In lieu of flower donations can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675,  St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Shriner’s Childrens Hospital, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607 in memory of Manny.

Manny was a wonderful friend, with a sense of humor and compassion for all. He will be greatly missed by so many who have been blessed to have him touch their lives. His light will forever shine brightly in our hearts. God bless you, Barb - you were his shining light!

Barbara Our condolences and prayers are with you and your family. Manny was a mentor and good friend to me. He is the reason why I am working for Lincoln Investment Planning now.
