Richie and Raegan Pearman as well as her sisters Dianna Dixon Dorlon, brother-inlaw Mearle, and Debbie Dixon. In addition, Joann is also survived by her many
nieces and nephews, Debra Stewart and her spouse Christian, Kevin Dorlon and
his spouse Nina, Michael Dorlon, Jamie Taylor and his spouse Stephanie, Colleen
Tilney and her spouse Michael, Brian Taylor and his spouse Tara.  Joann had many great nieces and nephews including Alexis, Alaina, Kevin, and Ryder Dorlon. Peyton, Rylee, and Ethan Tilney. Liam, Colin, Alanna, and Caitlin Taylor. Logan and Cody Taylor.  Joann is also survived by her stepdaughter Robyn Pearman McManus and her family who reside in Florida.

Aside from all the family listed above, Joann was known as a mom and grandma
to so many.  She leaves behind her close friends Linda and David Perkins, Jack Korzilius,
Dorothy Wagner, Anna Nigara Daly, Katie Lapp and so many others.

Joann was born in a blackout during World War II in Teaneck, NJ to William Dixon
and Elma VanSickle Dixon on April 9, 1943. She grew up in Norwood, NJ and Old
Tappan, NJ and attended school at Norwood Public School and Northern Valley
Regional High School in Demarest, NJ. She graduated in 1960 from Englewood
Beauty School in Englewood, NJ as a licensed cosmetologist. She owned and ran
Set & Style, a beauty parlor in Cliffside Park, NJ from 1965 to 1968.
After moving to Landing, NJ in 1969, Joann held various other jobs including
beautician, and worked at Bates Manufacturing. She retired from M&M Mars
National Office after many years in manufacturing and accounting.
Joann was known to be a joker and always loved to make others laugh. Her wit
and sass was what others loved so much about her and she never missed a party
or celebration. She loved bird watching, gardening, fishing, shopping, and making
new friends.

Joann was an animal lover and was deeply involved in rescuing and adopting
horses and being known as the “Horse Lady”. She helped many people find their
love for horses and supported the many activities that involved taking care of
them.

She will always be greatly missed and loved. A mass at St. Luke’s Catholic Church
in Long Valley, NJ and a memorial ceremony celebrating her life will be planned in
the future.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made towards Joann’s grandchildren’s
education. Make donations out to Pearman Family, c/o Cochran Funeral Home, 905
High St, Hackettstown, NJ 07840

Words cannot express the way I felt when I found out about Joann's passing. Know that I will keep her in my heart forever. Though we lost touch over the past few years I will always remember the fun we had together - I am sure she is dancing in heaven to her favorite country rock song. Love to you all.

‘Mom’ was a wonderful, sassy, spirited woman with a personality larger than life. I loved the way that she and I had our ‘banters’ back and forth. I will miss you crazy lady. Hope you are having a party up there and flying high with the butterflies. Rest In Peace Mom
