Charles John Paulin,Sr. 83 of Heath Village died January 24 at the Sickles Health Care Center.
Born in Tell City, Indiana he was a son of the late Charles S. and Rose H. ( nee Gabbert) Paulin
Charles served in the US Army during the Korean War with the rank of 1st Lieut. He was a graduate of Indiana University and earned his Masters in accounting there. Charles retired from the NJ Department of Insurance as a Supervising Examiner.
He was a 50 year member of the First Presbyterian Church of Arlington, the American Legion Post 99 in Kearny, the Loyal Order of Moose and the Grand Lodge, F&AM.
He was the beloved husband for 61 years of Dolores (nee Sloan), the devoted father of Kathryn Henry, Charles J. Paulin, Jr., David J. Paulin and his wife Lee Ellen, and Bruce T. Paulin. Loving brother of Betty Gast and dear grandfather of Olivia and David Paulin.
Funeral services are Monday January 30th at 2pm at the Cochran Funeral Home 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ with Rev. Berta Ferguson presiding. Entombment with military Honors will follow at Union Cemetery Mausoleum, Hackettstown.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
