Marilyn A Zorechak (nee Flanagan) of Hackettstown, NJ passed away peacefully at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center on Friday, October 2, 2015.  The cause was chronic pulmonary disease.

Born, March 14, 1935, in East Orange, New Jersey to Mary and Anthony Flanagan.  In 1956 she married Robert A. Zorechak (predeceased) and raised 3 children Kathleen Navarro (Michael) of Fairport, New York; Robert Zorechak (Catherine) of Mansfield Township, New Jersey and Gary Zorechak of Frederick, Md. Marilyn is survived by seven grandchildren, her sister Claire (Lister) of Frederick, Maryland and was predeceased by her brother Joseph.  In addition she will be missed by 4 nieces, 3 nephews and many grandnieces and grandnephews.

Marilyn's passion was spending time with her 7 grandchildren: Katelyn, Zachary and Rebecca Navarro; Olivia, Lily and Sophia Zorechak and Max Zorechak.  Her kindness and smile will be greatly missed.  Grandma could always be counted on to help out in so many activities from making the most incredible Halloween costumes to decorating the house at Christmas time, but mostly for just spending "special" time with her.

In addition to raising her family, Marilyn worked full time for many years at Oritani Savings and Loan, United Savings Bank and the City of Paterson from where she retired in 2005.  At each of these institutes her work ethic and dedication were admired by both her co-workers and Managers.

Never one to sit idle, in addition to working, Marilyn volunteered at several non-profit organizations spending many years dedicated to the parishioners and clergy at St. Gerard's Church in Paterson.  When she retired she donated over 2400 hours at the Hackettstown Regional Medical Center where she quickly became known as "The Cookie Lady" baking treats for the staff.   In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to:  Hackettstown Regional Medical Center, 651 Willow Grove Street, Hackettstown, N.J. 07840 Attn: Foundation Department - Cardio Pulmonary Department

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Gerard Majella R.C. Church 501 W. Broadway, Paterson, N.J. 07522 on Saturday, October 24th at 1:00PM.
