Elizabeth Landiak, 83, of Independence Twp., N.J., died tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Warren Haven Nursing Home, Mansfield Township, N.J..
Born November 5, 1930 in Paterson, N.J., Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Noah and Elizabeth Nix Krieger. She has been a resident of the greater Hackettstown, N.J. area since 1967 coming from Clifton, N.J..
Mrs. Landiak was employed by the Paterson Board of Health as a Biologist and Director of Laboratories from which she retired many years ago.
In addition to being a parishioner of St. Mary's Church of the Assumption, Hackettstown, N.J., Elizabeth was formerly active in various civic and community organizations such as her local PTA, March of Dimes and the Baby Keep Well Association of Warren County, N.J.
She is survived by her loving husband, Emmett E. Landiak of Independence Twp. N.J., Daughter, Maria E. Landiak, brothers John Krieger and wife Lorriane, James Krieger and wife Barbara and Louis Krieger. one sister Ruth Krieger. Two beautiful Grandchildren, Marissa and David Krall as well as many beloved Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation will be on Sunday, 12-15-13 from 3pm to 7pm at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High St., Hackettstown, N.J., 07840. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 16, 2013 at 10:30am at St. Mary's Church of the Assumption, 305 High St., Hackettstown, N.J. with Father David Pekola presiding. Interment will be at Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows, N.J.. Donations in Elizabeth's memory may be made to the Independence Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 137, Great Meadows, N.J. 07838. I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your dear wife and mother Elizabeth. You have been neighbors of mine since I moved to Hackettstown.
