Long
Magdeline “Angel” Long, 55, of Hackettstown, NJ passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, April 16, 2018.

Angel is predeceased by her parents Julianna and Karoly Czaszar.  She is survived by her husband Joe, daughter Julia and grandson Logan.  She is also survived by her siblings Rose, Liz, Julie, Cheryl, Frank, Karl and George.

Angel was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend.  She is dearly missed by so many. Yet many remain inspired by her outlook on life which was sunny and delightful.

She was much more than a mother and grandmother.  Angel was a best friend and confidante.  Some of her letters are still cherished; they contained advice on seeking peace and offering forgiveness.  Despite her own illness, Angel’s company was a refuge for her daughter and grandson.  Julia has fond memories of “going to Mom’s” whenever she got sick, even in adulthood.

Wherever she went Angel left an imprint, and many felt compelled to open up to her about their toughest times in life.  People who knew her noted “Angel touched everyone’s heart she came in contact with.”  Others recall “wherever she went she made life easier”.  Her infectious laugh, sass and inner beauty were her hallmarks.  But perhaps the most amazing thing is that all of this shone through despite her grueling health challenges for 12 years.

Angel helped ‘conquer the evil with the good’ because of her choices to keep a positive attitude, stay appreciative and cultivate hope.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to: Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, 99 Sparta Avenue, Newton, NJ or at karenannquinlanhospice.org in memory of Magdeline.

Viewing 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840 with services beginning at 3:30 pm.  Cremation is private.

Condolences:

What can I say about Aunt Angel....my memories of her are from early childhood and all I remember is thinking she was the most beautiful creature on the planet. Her smile was truly captivating, a show stopper. I didn't get to spend much time with Aunt Angel once I moved from NJ to AZ but she left a lifetime imprint in my mind. Never spoke an unkind word, not that I remember anyway :) and she was just happy. I remember being at my sisters wedding and all the family was there and she was so gorgeous in her dress and red lipstick, I was mesmerized. And then she dropped the bomb on me and I was stunned... she showed me her tattoo and I thought "Wow" she's really something special (never knew a woman personally with tattoos). Anyway, I will miss you Aunt Angel and I am grateful that I was able to see you a few months ago and spend time with you. I left your house feeling with a new sense of gratitude and peace about life. God blessed this family with you and I am honored to be apart of that family. I have your picture hung on my wall downstairs and i will cherish it forever. Be sure to say hello to my Daddy and let him know you were telling some of his secrets at our family visit. You guys can laugh about your crazy lives now.. ooxoxo All my love, Lee
