I am keeping your family in my prayers. Mr. T. had both my girls in the middle school and we are all so truly sorry for your loss. I hope that in time you will heal and find peace in the many wonderful memories that you have of him. He guided generations of children in Hackettstown. Each of those students carries the imprint of his influence with them every day. They carry it forward as their lives touch others and so he will never be forgotten.

Scott and I attended Belvidere High School together and lived only a few blocks from each other. "Scooter", as his friends called him, was a great friend and classmate. I fondly remember his great laugh and willingness to be part of a practical joke or prank. Probably my fondest memory is our trip to the Boy Scout camp in Canada after graduating High School with Rick Kunkle, Pete Redden and Gayle Gulick(?). We had some explaining to do to Scott's mother after we got home. To the Tomlinson family, my sincerest condolences on the loss of your husband, father, grandfather and friend. "Scooter, I have never known a nicer friend". Sincerely, David Stephens Benton City, WA

Dear Terry and family, I first met Scott several years ago when I worked as a speech therapist at the middle school. He was kind, helpful and always welcoming with his characteristic smile! He had a wonderful reputation as a teacher and disciplinarian and was an overall spectacular man. Please accept my sincere sympathy on your loss.

Terry , Bill & Bridget. I am so sad and please know you are in my prayers. Scott, there is no doubt in my mind you are reading this. We had amazing fun, especially Sunday afternoons at our place after church. We would leave little stickers on your truck at the church parking lot to see if ...Cribbage, cooking some new recipe, singing and just adoring each other was ok for the day. At times if we missed our sticker placement in a timely manner, luckily we would hear a knock on the door..So many beautiful memories. My father & you hanging out talking about Civil War, the infamous orange couch you helped us move( but we laughed the entire time!). Remember the Sunset on 280 West? It lasted one hour! We all agreed it was sent from God.. I know that you are in his hands my friend. I will love you forever Scott....Cindy Dear Terry, Bill, and Bridget, I hope you know how much I loved Scott. I can count my best friends, on one hand. Unfortunately, Scott takes up almost every finger!! A gentleman, a scholar, a mentor to hundreds! We shared so many happy and sad times together. He taught me so many things about how to be a man of his word and integrity. I was always so proud to be considered as one of his friends! My fishing buddy, beyond no one else! We shared so much.....enough to last several lifetimes. I love and miss you Scott, and the next Walleye I catch is for you! Tom

So sorry, Terry, Bill & Bridget, to hear of Scott's passing. It's so very sad, but you all know how many lives he touched through the years of teaching & coaching, & just being a friend. Having lived near the Middle School for so many years, one thing I'll remember is hearing his loud booming voice outside, or even sometimes inside, keeping the kids in line, but with kindness coming through! Thinking of you all.

It was such fun to work with Scott at HMS. He was the consummate "teammate" and colleague, a good friend, and practical joker. I have very fond memories of days in the seventh grade, and of his stint as a fair and formidable disciplinarian. He was a colleague that I could trust to take a leadership role and do the right thing. I pray for your strength and comfort in this sad time of mourning. I know that Scott's faith was strong, and I take heart knowing that he is with his Lord.

Mr. T is a man who I always looked forward to seeing at football games on the sidelines, and during basketball season. His smile and genuine ways always made me feel welcome from the day I met him. I will truly miss seeing Mr. T, as he always took the time to say hello and catch up, and of course crack a few jokes. He will be missed greatly by the Hackettstown community. My thoughts and prayers are with Mrs. T and the family, as well as my deepest sympathy during this difficult time.
