Pat, we can't express how sorry we are. There's nothing we can say (write) to ease your pain. I (Doug) do know that when Chuck and I spoke...he thought "the world" of you. Doug & Jeanne

Dear Pat and family, We only got to know Chuck in the last five years, but we felt like we knew him much longer. When we look across the street at your house and not see him, we will remember the way we would meet in the street and chat.

Pat, Terri, Kieran, Pam, and family.... As much as my heart has ached all week, I have replayed so many wonderful memories that made me smile and laugh. I loved Butch like a brother, and I feel privileged to have been a part of his life. I am truly jealous of the party that is surely going on with Fan, Charlie, Elsie, and my mom, dad, and Lorraine. The drinks are definitely flowing, and the homemade dishes are piling up! Please know how much I wish I could be there to be a part of the services and tributes. Butch spoke so lovingly at Lorraine's memorial and at my mom's funeral. I would have loved to have been able to return the favor. Love all of you. Rick(y)

Dear Higgins Family My Wife Robin and I were so saddened to see this notice, and can't but imagine the sorrow you all are going through at Chuck's passing. Chuck was such a credit to the Fire Department, and just an all around great guy who seemed to love to laugh. We ask the LORD to comfort you all during this time and ask HIS Blessing on you through Christ our LORD Paul & Robin
