Maryam (Mary) Arabian, née Kabadaian of Hackettstown, NJ, formerly of Palisades Park. Born 3/8/24, Istambul, Turkey. Daughter of Elisabet and Krikor Kabadaian Former wife of the late Jack Arabian and Vahakn Hanessian. She is Survived by her son Gregory of Vineland, NJ, her daughter Gail Reynolds and her husband Alan of Long Valley, NJ, a former daughter in law Cora Betz, her grandchildren, Shanna, Jack, Samantha Arabian of Vineland and William (Bill) and Jake Reynolds of Long Valley, great grandchildren Zahkier and Essence and a niece in France, Elisabet Bedrossian. She came to the U.S. In 1962 as an exchange nurse where she worked at Beth Israel in Newark and later Englewood Hospital as a midwife. In addition, she had volunteered at various health care centers. She taught Armenian at St. Thomas Armenian Church in Tenafly. Enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, drawing and writing poems as well as time spent with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice. A memorial mass will be held at St. Leon’s Arminian Church, Fair Lawn, NJ on Wednesday, July 15th at 11:30 am with burial to take place at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ at 1 pm.

Gail, you may not remember me, but I helped you with your mom's taxes for a while. Lili and you were in nursing school. My condolences on the passing of your mom. Although it has been a while since she passed, I just saw the obituary and did not want to leave it unnoticed. I will always remember how you were so loving towards your mom. God Bless. Fanny
