 Roy N. Yager, age 91, a lifelong resident of Hackettstown, NJ died Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Heath Village.  Mr. Yager was born May 15, 1927 in Hackettstown to the late Charles and Helen (Dellicker) Yager.  In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his beloved wife Stella (Miller) Yager and his loving sister, Winifred Kingston.

Roy graduated Hackettstown High School in 1944 and along with his parents they owned and operated Yager Farms, Drakestown, NJ for years before selling in 1977.  He enjoyed his work and farmed with great passion.  In addition, he was an avid hunter and a member of the NEBO Hunting Club.  In the morning he could be found appreciating the latest edition of the Wall Street Journal.  He will be greatly missed by his devoted family. 

Roy is survived by his son, Raymond Kowalick and wife Beverly, his grandson, Kenneth Kowalick and wife Diane, 2 great granddaughters, Joan and Samantha Kowalick and 5 nieces, Kathy Kingston, Nancy Kingston, Carol Mucci-Kingston, Patty Mosher and Sally Kingston.

The funeral will be held 12:00 pm on Friday, August 10 at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. with Chaplin Mario Spadaro officiating.  Burial follow at Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows.

Visitation will be Friday, August 10, 2018 from 10 am 12 noon at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown.  Online condolences may be left at www.cochranfuneral.com

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heath Village Employee Appreciation Fund or to the Heath Village Friendship Fund, 430 Schooley's Mountain Road, Hackettstown, NJ 07840 in memory of Roy.

Sorry to hear of Roys passing.Knew Roy for many years He was a special guy. We hunted together many years ago.I cut Roys hair even after I retire. Great guy .He will be missed

Dear Bev and Ray - My deepest condolences to you and your family on the death of Roy. I didn't know him personally but Bev has often spoke of him. I know Bev and Ray were devoted to him throughout his life particularly as he aged. May he rest in peace.

We were fortunate to know Roy since we moved to Grand Avenue in 2000. He was a good neighbor and friend to all in our little community.
