Janet Evelyn Mulvey

Janet Evelyn Mulvey, 62, of Long Valley, NJ died on Thursday, October 31, 2013.  She was born to the late James and Evelyn Hunter on April 30, 1951 in Ashland, OH.  Janet received her bachelor's degree from Mount Holyoke College and in 1976 married Michael Mulvey.  The two lived together in Long Valley ever since.

Janet's career after college began at McGraw-Hill in NYC until her marriage.  She later started her own copyediting business from home working with major authors on numerous successful publications.  Janet eventually transitioned full-time into the pharmaceutical industry, advancing to Area Sales Manager for Sanofi-Aventis before retiring in 2002.

Janet had been an active member of the Long Valley Junior Women's Club, PTA, and Meals-On-Wheels program for Our Lady Of the Mountain parish.  She was also a passionate and talented cook and an avid beach lover, especially the Jersey Shore.

Janet is survived by her husband and three children; Michael & wife Gina Mulvey of San Francisco, CA; Mark Mulvey of New York, NY; and Kathleen Mulvey of Somerville, NJ; one brother; James & wife Louise Hunter and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother Thomas Hunter.

Visitation will be on Monday, November 4, 2013, 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High St., Hackettstown, NJ 07840.

A Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, 11:30 AM at St. Mark's Church, 59 Spring Lane, Long Valley, NJ 07853.

Interment will be in Our Lady Of The Mountain Cemetery, Schooley's Mtn. Road, Long Valley, NJ following the Mass.

Dear Michael, I just learned of Janet's passing, and I am so saddened by the news. I remember Janet as a bubbly, and friendly lady. Mike These are one of the times that words can not express what a person feels in their heart. I remember dancing with Jan at a Pioneer Function. We had a few good laughs. I wish I could have known her better. You and your family will be in my prayers.
