Milton Charles (Mac) McWilliams, loving husband, father and grandfather, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was 88 years old.
Mac was born in Bloomfield, NJ and was the son of the late Milton Spear and Eleanor (Snyder) McWilliams. He and his beloved wife Betty, lived for many years in Northern New Jersey area, Florida and Belvidere, NJ, until his wife’s passing in 2016. He then moved to Hackettstown, NJ.
For the majority of his career, he worked at McWilliams Forge Company in Rockaway, NJ. After leaving the Forge, he went on to own a small business prior to his retirement. He was an avid auto enthusiast throughout his life and golfer in his later years. He was a veteran of Korean conflict and also held many positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He is survived by his two sons, Kevin of Florida, Lake (Mic) and his wife Robin, of Long Valley, NJ, his cherished grandchildren, Brittany and husband Nick Longworth, Timothy, Reilly and Taylor McWilliams. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Walter Stalb, sisters-in-law, Delores Burt and Marie Burt, and many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Betty and sister, Delores Stalb.
Viewing hours will be Tuesday, January 14th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ, 07840. There will be a 10:00 a.m. viewing and funeral service on Wednesday, January 15th at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Chester, NJ.
