G. Edward “Ed” Fyfe, 84, of Stanhope, NJ, passed away on October 7, 2020. Mr. Fyfe was born on February 28, 1936 in Whippany, NJ to Gordon S. Fyfe and Rose M. Fyfe.
A graduate of Morristown High School Class of 1954.
He married Arlene W. Decker on February 20, 1965 in West Hempstead, NY.
He served for the NJ Army National Guard in Morristown, NJ from 1973 as a First Sergeant, A Battery, 3rd Battalion, 112th Field Artillery, 50th Armored Division. He retired from the National Guard in 1994.
He was the owner of J & L Plumbing Supply Company in Morristown from 1969-1994. From there he worked as the Assistant Commandant for N.J. Challenge Program in Fort Dix 1995-2010.
Mr. Fyfe is survived by members of his family: his wife, Arlene, his sister Janice M. Foley, (William D) and three daughters: Laura J. Kleindienst, Lois M. Fyfe (Jen B. Ciaccio), and Jessica Lasser. (David V. Lasser). Grandchildren: Justin, Chloe, Ryan and Jordan. Nieces: Janet, Joann and Jennifer and their families.
During retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, watching old movies and playing pinochle with friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
