Stephen James Byelick, Sr., age 82, of Hackettstown, NJ passed away peacefully Thursday, March 18, 2021.  Stephen was born February 7, 1939 in Sterling, NJ to the late Stephen J. and Genevieve (Morelli) Byelick.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Gudrun in March of 2000.

He served proudly in the US Marine Corp. during the peacetime.  He was previously employed by Bell Labs, Parsippany, NJ as a Technician.  His family described him as being an extremely hard worker who was dedicated to his family.  He loved refurbishing cars and motorcycles as well as woodworking.  Stephen was well loved by many and will be deeply missed.

Stephen suffered a long battle with multiple sclerosis and finally at rest with the Lord.  Stephen will be buried alongside his bride, Gudrun at Union Cemetery, Hackettstown, NJ at a later date.

He is survived by his four devoted children, 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
