Anna Mae O’Dowd, age 92, of Hackettstown died Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center.  Anna Mae was born May 2, 1930 in East Orange, NJ to the late Daniel John and Anna Elizabeth (McGotty) Cavanaugh.   In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph M. O’Dowd (2015), two brothers, Daniel and William Cavanaugh and a sister, Helen Nolan.

Anna Mae was an active parishioner of Our Lady of the Mountain Church, Long Valley, NJ, and was passionate about flowers and family.  In addition she was an avid baseball fan.

She is survived by two loving sons, Joseph O’Dowd and wife Mary Anne,  Daniel O’Dowd and wife Jackie, four cherished grandsons, Chris, Dan, Joe, and Jack O’Dowd, one adored granddaughter, Lexie Heil and husband Christian, her dear friend Pat Shernce and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 am on Thursday, July 21 at Our Lady of the Mountain Church, 2 E. Springtown Rd, Long Valley, NJ with Rev. Marchin Michalowski officiating.  Burial will follow in Our Lady of the Mountain Cemetery, Long Valley.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, July 20 from 4- 8 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ.
