Maryellen Vitello, age 78, died Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at Warren Haven Nursing Home Oxford, NJ where she was a resident for the past seven years. Maryellen was born April 4, 1946 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Arthur T. and Pauline F. (Hart) Would.

Maryellen had been employed by the A & P in Budd Lake, NJ as a Cashier before retiring.  She was an excellent cook, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and loved going to the beach.  In her younger years she was an artist who was very good at drawing.  She had been a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Hackettstown.

In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her brother Brian Would.

She is survived by a son, Corey Vitello, a daughter, Sherryl Murphy, her brothers, Arthur, Tracy and Shawn Would. Grandchildren, Matt and Ashling Murphy and great grandson, Aiden Murphy.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday December 31 from 12 noon to 4pm with a family service at 3:30 pm at the Cochran Funeral Home 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ

In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the American Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
