Where do you begin with Jeff? Jeff was a unique individual with great work ethic and attention to detail. I have had the privilege of working and knowing him for the past 19 years that I have worked at Tamke. While I am the mechanic and he was the arborist, we still worked together to resolve any issues he would have with the truck he was on for that day. And let me tell you, if Jeff didn’t like one little thing on the truck he would definently let me know, and I would drop whatever I was doing to resolve that issue. Jeff was very particular with the vehicle he was on and some days that would create some friction between him and me which would cause us to get into a heated argument. But regardless of who was right or wrong in the instance Jeff would always come up to me at the end and shake my hand which I found to be very admirable. I will always miss those little spats we had together followed by shaking hands and than having a conversation about why or what is making us angry that day hahaha. Jeff had a Very hard shell that was always very tough to crack. I don’t feel like there were too many people that could make him smile or really laugh. So, for the past 19 years, I kind of took that as a challenge and let me tell you, anytime I, as well as my Boss Kevin could get Jeff smiling or laughing It actually made my day and I felt like the goal was met haha. I will certainly miss talking to “Jeffy” as a select few of us called him. Rest in peace buddy
