William John Fagan, 87 of Hackettstown passed away on Friday October 10, 2025 peacefully at home. Bill was born on August 17, 1938 in Nyack, NY to the late James Patrick and Catherine (Metz) Fagan. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his younger sister, Maureen Cohn-Edwards and son-in-law, Kevin Herbert.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Patricia Daniels Fagan and his two children daughter, Patricia “Tricia” Lynn Herbert, son, Cliford William. He also leaves behind his cherished granddaughter’s, Elizabeth Ann and Trinity Skye, and his great-grandson’s, Nichols and Colton. He also leaves behind older brother, James Robert and younger brother, Daniel Patrick.

After graduating High School Bill enlisted and proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Bill retired as an insurance agent from Prudential Insurance Co. He enjoyed coaching boys’ baseball for the Hackettstown Fire Dept.  He was an honorary member of the Hackettstown Fire Dept., Hook and Ladder Co. His loved playing golf his entire life with friends and colleagues.

Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Hackettstown on Tuesday, October 14 at 11am
