Loyal Family Member,  Friend, and Gentleman
      Gary Donald Burd, born in Hackettstown, New Jersey on May 13, 1951 passed away peacefully on January 2, 2021 in Mesa Arizona.     Gary graduated from Hackettstown High School in 1969 and immediately went to work in the family business, Intercounty Paving, Inc. He was admired and respected for his expertise in road reconstruction and was instrumental in the Company’s stellar reputation and success. During his years in Hackettstown he relished his time spent with his daughter Jennifer whom he truly loved. He also passionately pursued his favorite hobby Go-Karting and made many friends in the process.
     In 1992 Gary relocated to Pennsylvania and subsequently moved to Mesa, Arizona in  1997. While in Mesa he volunteered for Hospice for several years and his kind and gentle nature supported many in their final days. Gary faced many difficult obstacles and challenges in his life and met them with strength and grace with the help of his life partner.
      Gary was predeceased by his parents Howard and Dolores Burd, his brother David Burd and his two nephews Stephen Anlas and Jason Burd.  Gary leaves behind his beloved partner, Terri Wilson of Mesa, Arizona,  dear sister  Michelle Wilson of Independence Twp.,  N.J., nephew Matthew Anlas of Washington State,  dear brother Gregory Burd of Asbury, N.J.  cherished  daughter Jennifer DeSimone and her husband Ralph and grandchildren Kylie, Mark, Kathryn and Robert of Princeton, N. J. His two dogs Maja and Tasha gave him great comfort and joy and  miss him very much.
