Dimiceli, Agnes M. Chandler September 18, 1937 - August 11, 2023

Agnes “Aggie” M. Chandler Dimiceli, age 85, of Hackettstown, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 11, 2023.  Agnes was born on September 18, 1937 in Somerset, NJ.  She was the daughter of the late Edward Chandler and Victoria (Ezyk) Chandler.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, Arthur J. Dimiceli.

Aggie grew up in Hackettstown, NJ and graduated from Hackettstown High School in 1955 where she was a cheerleader and class treasurer for all four years.  She married Arthur Dimiceli in 1958 and together they raised their family in Hackettstown.  Aggie worked as a payroll clerk at the age of 17 at the former Bergen Machine and Tool Company and was a real estate agent in Hackettstown for over 30 years at Eugene P. Glennon Real Estate and Century 21 Real Estate.

Aggie’s pride and joy was her family, especially her grandchildren.  She loved spending time with her family, visiting and collecting shells in Cape May, and watching the birds, deer, red squirrels frolic in her yard (but not the bear that would frequent her porch).  She also loved going to the library, curling up with a good book, needle point, and making ceramics.

She is survived by two children, her devoted daughter, Michele Dimiceli Graziadei and her husband, James, of Easton, PA, and Joseph Dimiceli and his wife Jo Ellen, of Manassas, VA.  She was “Grammy” to her four grandchildren, Michael and Kali Graziadei, and Joey and Jenna Dimiceli.  She was also survived by one brother, Robert Chandler (Collette) of Dobson, NC, her close childhood friend, Elaine Filler of Newport Richey, Florida, her brother-in-law Edward “Bucky” Dimiceli and sister-in-law Lois Dimiceli, both of Hackettstown, and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 11:00 am at Pequest Union Cemetery,  Great Meadows, NJ.
