Vladislav Leonidovich Afonkin, also known as Vlad, went home to Jesus on November 7, 2025 at the age of 30.

Vlad was born to Leonid and Svetlana Afonkin on July 23, 1995 in Labinsk Russia.

Vlad has a passion for music and served in his church band as the bass player. When Vlad graduated high school he helped his father start a small local business in Hackettstown. And from there Vlad branched out and started his own business.

He is survived by his parents, his sister Ana, Brother-in-law Stanley, and two nephews James and John.

His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by him.

“But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,” – Philippians 3:20

Visitation will be Monday, November 10 from 4-8 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ.

The funeral service will be held 10:00 am- 12 noon on Tuesday, November 11 at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. with Pastor Igor Filpovsky officiating.  Burial will be in Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows following services.
