Frederick Alverson, age 82, of Hackettstown died Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center.  Frederick was born January 31, 1943 in Newark, NJ to the late Frederick and Lucetta (Fueglein) Alverson.  In addition to his parents, Frederick is preceded in death by his sister, Lynette Alverson andhis granddaughter, Darma Alverson.

Frederick was previously employed by Foster Wheeler, Livingston, NJ as a Process Engineer.

Frederick was a passionate fisherman who shared his love for fishing and the outdoors with his friends and family. He was an adventurous cook who always took pride in preparing large delicious meals for all those he graciously welcomed into his home. Frederick was an enthusiastic historian who loved to read, discuss and debate history and politics. Frederick was truly born mechanically inclined. He possessed the uncanny ability to diagnose and fix anything mechanical. He generously offered this skill to his friends and family whenever they needed it. He loved his family and friends and he will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife: Dzintra (Baumanis) Alverson, his three sons, Karl Alverson and wife Ieva, Erik Alverson and wife Erin, Lars Alverson and wife Krista, a brother, William Alverson and wife Karen, two sisters, Beverly Alverson, Kathryn Baloga and husband Michael, two grandchildren, Kira and Olaf and several nieces and nephews.
