October 19, 2022 at 1:41 pmSo sorry to hear of Betty’s passing. I did her hair for a number of years before covid. I was amazed at her age. She looked alot younger. I always laughed when she left when I told her not to put her hat on till she got out the door. She was so proud of her granddaughter with her beautiful long hair.

October 19, 2022 at 4:47 pmBetty was an adult by the time I was born. Time and distance separated us for much of our early lives, except for rare occasions. We connected more fully nearly 30 years ago when Betty moved to this area. Betty and I became very close in those years, renewing family bonds. Betty was my idol, my example of how to live a full and productive life. Her positivity knew no bounds. I would brag that I have a 95 year old cousin who goes to work every day, runs a business, goes to the gym 3 times a week, drives a car and had her mind. Betty would admonish me saying “Don’t tell people how old I am, the retired men I have working for us won’t respect me if they think I’m an old lady”. Betty’s energy was boundless. During covid she called me stating indignantly “Where is everybody? As she walked around her complex. They need to be out getting exercise.” Her positivity and upbeat nature radiated. She lived it everyday! I hope to live up to her example, at least to try as I age. I love you and will miss you dearly. I know her spirit is with the angels, and she has them exercising everyday.
Your Cousin Joyce

October 20, 2022 at 10:24 pmBetty was the first person on the block to welcome me to Peachtree Village when I moved here. She is a true inspiration. I will miss looking across the street and seeing her watering her flowers or getting into her car to go wherever she was going….day or night. What a force she was. She never stopped. God bless and keep her. Deepest condolences to her family and friends. And thanks for the miniature golf game….it was lots of fun!!
