John Camporini, age 73, of Hackettstown died Monday, October 6, 2025 at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center. John was born November 1, 1951 in Phillipsburg, NJ to the late John and Evelyn (Schmitt) Camporini.
John owned and operated Camps Auto Repair, Hackettstown, NJ for many years before his retirement.
John was a lifetime resident of Hackettstown who was passionate about cars. If he wasn’t hanging out with the “Kool-Aid Gang” at Camps, you would find him on the golf course. He also coached little league baseball for many years in Hackettstown. He was an avid Yankees and Cleveland Browns fan. John also enjoyed racing the Flaming Chicken” at Island Dragway. John touched many lives and will be remembered for his smile and laugh and will truly be missed.
John is survived by two daughters, Tammy Castles, Tanya Muraski, two sons, Brian Camporini and wife Amber, Michael Camporini, a sister, Kathi Camporini, ten grandchildren, Katelyn, Alyssa, Molly, James, Mason, Jordyn, Liam, Michael, Jr., Maddie and Jacob, one great granddaughter on the way (Kennedy).
There will be a Celebration of Life on Friday, October 10, 2025 from 2pm to 6pm at Hackettstown First Aid and Rescue Squad, 123 Maple Avenue, Hackettstown, NJ 07840 all are welcome.
