Gloria T. Cannata, age 98, of Hackettstown (Allamuchy Twp.) died Thursday, September 25, 2025 at home. Gloria was born June 1, 1927 in Newark, NJ to the late Sabino and Rose (Fera) Fallivene.  Gloria was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Patrick Cannata on

November 27, 2016.  In addition she was preceded in death by her 3 brothers and their wives, Joseph & Lee Fallivene, Martin & Stella Fallivene, Sabin & Yolanda Fallivene, and her sister and brother-in-law, Lucille and James Ronca.

Gloria was previously employed by West Caldwell School District, West Caldwell, NJ as a Secretary to the Principal.  Gloria loved to bake and cook for her family, knitting, crocheting and needlepoint.  She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, painting ceramics.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Gloria is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Roseanne and Lawrence Bajek, her son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Joanne Cannata her 5 cherished grandchildren, her adored nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 30 at Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Mary, 305 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. with Father Leopoldo Salvania officiating.  Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial & Honor Program, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 in memory of Gloria.
