It was never a dull moment working for or with Jerry. He served Picatinny Arsenal and the Armament Center well thru numerous Base realignments and reorganizations, His primary concern was always for “Picatinny” people and mission. Rest easy old friend, thank you for your service!

I loved Mr. cannon. My Dad worked for him at Picatinny for as long as I can remember. When I was 15-17 Gerry and I would compete in basketball, weightlifting, golf etc. He was old and smart,, and savvy, I was athletic but naive. I was younger, stronger and faster, but he was a teacher and our 1 vs 1 competitions were fierce (in the best way). Rest easy Mr. Cannon, or as I always announced you on the first tee at Picatinny. Now on the first tee… Doctor Gerry Cannon! You were one of the good ones..
