Richard F. Ehrhardt, Jr. passed away on November 24, 2025at his home in Allamuchy NJ.  Just days before his 72nd birthday.  He was born November 27, 1953 in Newton, N.J. and was the son of the late Richard F. Ehrhardt, Sr. and the late Shirley (Schmeal) Powell.

 

He attended Hackettstown High School, then he worked at Frazier Industrial Company until his illness.  Most of all, he was a devoted father and grandfather.  Richard enjoyed living most of his life in Mountain Lake NJ, sailing, and fishing with his family members.  Richard will be remembered for his happy spirit, great smile, and his classic jokes.  He especially enjoyed, and had a great passion for cars.  He would build them, repair them and go to car shows on a weekly basis.

 

He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Magrini, brother, David Ehrhardt, sister, Linda Magennis, sister, Michelle Strickland, brother, Bill Powell, grandson, Tyler Robinson, granddaughter, Kaitlyn Robinson, and Christopher Magrini.

 

 

Viewing hours will be Friday, November 28, 2025 from 4-8pm at Cochran Funeral Home, Inc., 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J..

 

The Funeral Service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. at 11:00 am with Pastor Donald Gebhard officiating.  Burial will be in Pequest Union Cemetery, 30 Cemetery Road, Great Meadows, NJ 07838.

    Had a lot of fun years ago riding around all the time a few trips to Greenwood Lake drinking. Then I talked u into working in the cemetery for a few years. We always had a fun time back in the 70’s .You always had fun working on cars an building them.RIP my friend
