Amy Kathleen Greene, age 52, of Hackettstown, NJ passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022 at Hackettstown Medical Center. Amy was born on October 12, 1969 in Newton, NJ and grew up playing along the Musconetcong River with her cousins, siblings and her King’s Highway crew. She was the daughter of Hugh Greene and Louise (Wright) Greene. The oldest of four siblings, she is survived by her sister Wendy and brother-in-law Rich Krisinski, brother Hugh and his fiancé Amy Battiato, and sister Kim and brother-in-law John Nalepka. Most of all she was a devoted aunt to her nieces and nephew- Alyssa, Tyler, and Grace Krisinski.
Amy studied music at William Paterson College before entering a dynamic and creative career at Harte-Hanks Inc., where she worked for nearly 20 years. Later, she brought her leadership skills and dedication to Quick Check Corporation.
Amy was a vibrant person with a passion for family, friends, music, literature and wildlife. She was always close to nature – whether it be growing herb and flower gardens, hiking in her favorite boots with her nieces, road tripping to Vermont, or volunteering with Woodlands Wildlife Refuge.
Music was a driving force and inspiration in Amy’s life. At the age of 6, Amy got her first album (KISS Alive!) and she picked up her first drum sticks soon after. In high school, Amy played in a band, and in adulthood her love of the arts was evidenced by the impressive wall of records, stacks of CD’s, and a vast library of books that became hallmarks of her home.
Everyone who knew Amy was inspired by her brilliant mind, her unrelenting curiosity, and the way she appreciated the beauty in the world around her. Most of all, she will be remembered for her sense of adventure, infectious laugh, and a smile that lit up the room.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 at Cochran Funeral Home from 2:00pm to 6:00pm with a funeral service beginning at 5:30pm. Cremation will be private after the service. Funeral arrangements have entrusted to Cochran Funeral Home 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. 07840.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in living memory to Woodlands Wildlife Refuge PO Box 5046 Clinton, NJ 08809 (www.woodlandswildlife.org)

July 17, 2022 at 6:00 pmWords fail us…we loved Amy like a sister and thankfully, have many fond memories of her, from staying at Hackettestown with Amy’s parents (our cousins) Hugh and Louise and her siblings, staying with Amy at her apartment just after Wendy and Rich’s wedding when she took us on the Subway into New York and gave us a guided tour, including China Town, Wall Street and the Twin Towers.
In addition, we have some fabulous memories of Amy and her sisters, Wendy & Kim together with their Grandma (Aunt Phyllis Ethelston Greene) when they visited us at our home in Cheshire, England in the early 2000’s.
We will always remember her playing her drums and her love of cats, including Bear and Dutchess. We will always have a place in our hearts for our beautiful cousin Amy Greene – RIP.
Hugs and much love forever
Karen and Steve (Cousins)

I considered her a trusted friend and will always remember her laugh as it was one of the beautiful things about her.
