Marie Grosso, age 92, of Hackettstown, NJ, formally of Ridgefield Park, NJ, died peacefully on December 14, 2023, at Oakland Rehabilitation and Healthcare, in Oakland, NJ, surrounded by the love of her family.   Marie is predeceased by her beloved husband of 42 years, Michael R. Grosso.

Marie was born on December 29, 1930, in Guttenberg, NJ to the late Robert and Margaret (Epstein) Miller.

Marie is survived by her loving children, daughter Elaine DiManno (Bernardo), and sons Michael (Pam) and Donald (Jennifer), as well as cherished grandchildren, Christina (Adam), Victoria (Ryan), Christopher (Jennifer), Samantha, Michael (Audra), Steven (Laura Baldwin) and Lauren (Jason Hensley), as well as four great grandchildren.

Marie was a homemaker.  Marie had a lifelong love of animals and cared for the many pets that she loved, especially her cat Max.  Marie loved movies and had an extensive collection of which she knew all the key lines.  Marie had a keen sense of humor.  Marie was affectionately known as Nana, to not only her grandchildren but to many who came to know her.

The family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, December 19, from 4-8 PM at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High St., Hackettstown, NJ.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 20 at 11 AM at the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Mary, 305 High St, Hackettstown, NJ.   Burial will be privately attended by family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Marie’s favorite charity, St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942
