Herbert (Butch, Herbie) E Hendershot, age 79, of Columbia, NJ died Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at St. Luke’s Warren Hospital of Phillipsburg, NJ.  Herbert was born June 14, 1945 in Morristown, NJ. He is the son of the late Roy and Anna May (Rolph) Hendershot.

He was predeceased by his wife Cynthia Hendershot.

Herbie retired from K&E, Hibernia NJ. He drove School buses for years at Village, First Student. He was Security guard at Matheny School in Peapack.

He is survived by his son Eric, daughter Joanna, and granddaughter Brianna May Hendershot. He is also survived by his daughter Lori and Son Butch Jr. He has a brother Ray and his wife Linda Hendershot and sister Margaret Snyder. There are also many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Honoring Herbies wishes there will be no funeral services. Private Family services will be held on a later date.
