Heydecke, Eileen September 21, 1945 - September 4, 2023

Eileen Heydecke (nee-Hurley), age 77, of Belvidere, NJ died Monday, September 4, 2023 at St. Lukes Hospital – Warren Campus, Phillipsburg, NJ.  Eileen was born September 21, 1945 in Fort Worth, TX to the late Philip and Betty (Smith) Hurley.  In addition to her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard, her daughter, Michele Sabatino, her son-in-law, Christopher Roberts, and her brother, Philip Hurley.

Eileen was previously employed by Haber Co., Hackettstown, NJ as a Bookkeeper for many years before her retirement.  She was an avid animal lover especially to her dogs, Sophie, Webster and Otis.  In addition, she enjoyed volunteering in her 55 and older community and spending time with her grandsons.

She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Roberts, her son, Jeffrey Heydecke, two brothers, Timothy Hurley and wife Ann, Peter Hurley and wife Pam, a sister-in-law, Martha Hurley, two grandsons, Ethan and Dylan Roberts, her companion Paul Terick, Sr. and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 9 from 2-6 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ.

The funeral will be held 5:30 pm on Saturday, September 9 at the funeral home, with Chaplin Mario Spadaro officiating.  Cremation will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306 in memory of Eileen.
