Robert Hofmann, age 86, of Budd Lake, NJ died Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Merry Heart Nursing Home, Succasunna, NJ.  Robert was born June 12, 1936 in Manhattan, NY to the late Carl and Georgette Bertha (Matthews) Hofmann.

Robert was previously employed by JCPL, Morristown, NJ as their Chief Lineman for 41 years before his retirement.  In addition, he was a member of the IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, enjoyed playing golf and swimming.  His passion was keeping his home beautiful, helping neighbors and playing practical jokes on people.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Betty Jean (Batson) Hofmann, his loving son, Scott Hofmann, two sisters-in-laws, Barbara Batson, Mary Batson and many nieces.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Monday, April 3 at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, N.J. with Rev. Erin Hayes-Cook officiating.  Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Hackettstown following services.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ.
