Margaret Carole Huff, known by most as Carole or “Cappie”, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2023 in Hackettstown, NJ. She was 89.

Carole was born December 17, 1933 in Dover, NJ. She was a dedicated nurse who started her career in pediatrics. She then worked for many years at the Lyons Veteran’s Hospital in Basking Ridge, NJ. During her retirement she volunteered at both the Trinity Church Thrift Store and Hackettstown Hospital gift shop.

Carole was a loving mother who raised her two daughters, Susan and Lisa. She is survived by her daughter Susan Codey and husband Brian Codey. Carole was a devoted grandmother to her grandchildren, Beth Codey, Steven Codey and wife, Kristin Codey. She was blessed with two great grandchildren, Jack and Weston Codey.

Carole was predeceased by her daughter Lisa Huff Malamoud, her brother, John Kapral Jr., and her parents, John and Margaret Kapral.

A celebration of her life will be held at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ, 07840 on Friday, February 24, 2023. Visitation is from 3:00 pm-7:00 pm, with a memorial service at 6:30 pm.
