Dorothy Inghrim, age 81, of Belvidere, NJ died Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Forest Manor Health Care Center. Dorothy was born February 19, 1944 in Monticello, NY to the late William and Mary (Triniaca) Winfield. In addition to her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her 2 sisters, Joan Uciechowski and Mary Helen Lara, and a brother-in-law, Donald Lara.
Dorothy was previously employed for many years by Kmart, and later Marshall’s, Hackettstown, NJ as Retail Sales Clerk.
Dorothy was a woman of profound kindness. She possessed the rare gift of listening not just with her ears, but with her heart. Whether it was a coworker, friend, or a grandchild with a scraped knee, she offered warmth, generosity, and understanding to everyone she met, expecting nothing in return. Her true passion, though, was her family. Her door was always open for her children and grandchildren, whether to host the holidays, or simply offer a place of quiet comfort. Her grandchildren were her greatest pride; she acted as if being “Nana” was the most important job she ever held. She spent countless hours taking them to the community pool, baking cookies, reading stories to them, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Dorothy is survived by her two daughters, Catherine Inghrim, Jennifer Donnell and husband Andrew, her two sons, Craig Inghrim and Stephen Inghrim and his partner Kathleen Burke, three grandchildren, Wyatt Inghrim, Lindsay Inghrim, Liliana Donnell, a brother-in-law, John Uciechowski and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation hours will be Monday, January 19 from 4-8 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ.
The funeral services will be held 7:30 pm on Monday, January 19 at the funeral home, with Father Leopoldo Salvania officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Monticello at a later date.
