Paul Iuvone, age 86, of Liberty Township, NJ died Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Woodland Behavorial/Rehabilitation Center, Andover, NJ.  Paul was born August 16, 1935 in Italy to the late Antonio and Maria (Armento) Iuvone.    In addition to his parents Paul was preceded in death by his brother Tony.

Paul was a school teacher in Italy before immigrating to the United States in 1955, sailing on the ship “Olympia”.  He was the owner/operator of the Panther Valley Gentlemen’s Hairstylist, Allamuchy, NJ. Paul was a real “Foodie”, he loved spending time with his family around the dinner table telling stories, laughing and joking.  He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Carmela (Mazzone) Iuvone , his daughter, Mary Shipula and husband Mike, his son, Anthony Iuvone and wife Jane, a brother, Dr. Ben Iuvone and wife Roseann, five grandchildren, Donna, Mike, Paul, Lindsey Oleniacz, Amanda Hallock and three great grandchildren, Alexandra, Lillian and Jaxon.

Visitation will be Friday, December 10, 2021 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 am on Saturday, December 11 at Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, 360 US Hwy 46, Great Meadows, NJ with Rev. Grzegorz “Greg” Podsiadlo officiating.  Burial will be in Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows following the mass.
