James Vincent Sasso (Jimmy), age 33, of Great Meadows, NJ passed away at home on April 3, 2020. Jimmy was born October 27, 1986 in Edison, NJ.Jimmy will be remembered for his bright smile and sense of humor. Known as a “ball buster” he could make anyone laugh with his quick wit and wise ass one liners. He had the kindest heart and would drop anything to help a loved one in need. He was someone you could count on – even if he made fun of you while he was doing it.
As a kid, Jimmy loved to play sports, basketball and baseball were among his favorites. He excelled at anything he tried. The only boy in his family, he was the light of his mother’s life.
As an adult, there were two places you would be sure to find Jimmy, working on his truck or fishing, he loved to do both. Fishing brought Jimmy much peace in recent years. But, Jimmy loved nothing more than his family. They meant everything to him.
He worked for Noce’s Paving for the last two years. He was dedicated, hardworking and an integral part of the team.
Jimmy is survived by his loving parents Donna and Joe Cicora of Great Meadows, NJ and Jerry Sasso of Spring Hill, FL. Paternal grandmother Dolores Cicora of Iselin, NJ and paternal grandfather Joseph Sasso of Toms River, NJ. His three devoted sisters Christina Sasso, Jamie Feehan and Melissa Cicora. Three brother in laws, Tom Tiplady, Pete Rinaldi, and Kyle Ruetsch. Three nieces, Kaelyn, Ava and Scarlett, four nephews Christopher, Anthony, Joey and Jack, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death, by his adoring grandparents Eileen and Fred DeCapua and Micheal Cicora, as well as his Uncle Joey DeCapua. We know they were waiting as they welcomed their boy home.
Jimmy will be missed beyond words by all who loved him. We will carry him in our hearts forever.
A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
