James William Lord III (“Jim”) departed this world peacefully on Friday, June 19, 2020 with his family and partner of many years, Kathy Krisak, by his side. Born on March 6, 1959 in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
Jim was the oldest son of James and Carol (nee Napolis) Lord. He was a lifelong resident of Hackettstown after his parents purchased the model home in the Willow Grove development in 1962. He attended Hackettstown public schools, and was a graduate of
Hackettstown High School Class of 1977. He was employed at M&M/Mars for many years.
Jim enjoyed singing, loved karaoke and was an avid Beach Boys fan. He had a passion for
classic cars, hot rods, old cowboy movies, and the Jersey shore. Above all, Jim was loyal to his
family, and frequently reminisced about family times, especially times spent swimming at
Seber’s and the Sandbar, his grandparents’ summer home in the Highlands, family picnics, and
fond memories of his parents that he held close to his heart forever. He maintained friendships
with childhood friends, and could always be counted on to be there for those he loved.
He is survived by his companion of 21 years, Kathy Krisak, his son, Robert DiRienzo and his
daughter, Jessica Lord. He is also survived by his two sisters, Theresa Lord-Stout and Connie
Lord Drum, and one brother, Jeffrey Lord, as well as many nieces and nephews and lifelong
friends.
In lieu of flowers Jim’s family requests donations be made to Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice.
Donations can be made online at karenannquinlanhospice.org or by mail to: Karen Ann Quinlan
Hospice, 99 Sparta Avenue, Newton, NJ 07860.
Those who wish to celebrate Jim’s life are invited to attend a graveside service at the Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows, NJ 07838 on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 12:00 pm.
Please wear your Hawaiian shirts and beach garb in honor of Jim.

Our deepest and heartfelt sympathies on your loss. We were so saddened to hear of Jim’s passing and pray that you receive God’s comfort in this difficult time and that your beautiful memories sustain you. Seems like just yesterday, but almost a year now, that Jim was the star karaoke singer at Gene’s birthday party. God speed Jim, until we meet again.

Jimmy’s passing truly breaks my heart. My buddy and partner in fun loving debauchery for years. Jimmy loved his Crappyoake singing unlike a song bird. Our adventures with the doggies on hikes, Jersey Shore shenanigans and so many more…I’ll miss hearing ‘Singy’, ‘Hey Sing’ with laughter and a devilish smile. My buddy Jim. Much love and condolences to Kathy (Jim’s love), Lord Family (Teresa, Connie, Jeff and kids). One last car ride, one last laugh, one last time to say that you are my friend. Love you Jimmy. Go and keep them laughing on your new journey my friend. Singy
