Karpinski, Elizabeth A. November 19, 1936 - July 1, 2022

With sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother, Elizabeth Antoinette (Betty) Karpinski, age 85, of Hackettstown, NJ. She passed the morning of Friday July 1st, 2022 while at Hackettstown Medical Center.

She was predeceased by her parents; Anthony and Mary Marcyonyk of Scranton, PA and her husband of 47 years, Walter Anthony Karpinski. During their marriage they resided in Bloomfield, Piscataway and Mansfield, NJ.

Elizabeth’s surviving family members are; daughter, Lisa Johnson, son-in-law Mark, granddaughter Ava of Franklin Township, NJ. Son, James Karpinski of Hamburg, NJ. Daughter, Linda Karpinski and granddaughters, Eve and Alexis of Clinton, NJ.

Prior to meeting her husband in Scranton, PA and moving to New Jersey, Elizabeth attended St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church Elementary School in Greenwood and graduated from Moosic High School. She worked at Capitol Records in quality control, which began her lifelong appreciation of various music genres.

Elizabeth devoted her life to her husband, raising her children and building her household.  She was always there when we needed her. She cherished her granddaughters immensely. She was a warm, sweet spirited person with a wonderful sense of humor frequently enjoying laughter with her loved ones.  Through the years she was rarely without a pet and passed her love of animals to her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Mansfield Township Seniors Club.

Later in life while residing at Heath Village, Hackettstown, she spent her time painting, creating floral arrangements, crafting and attending Catholic mass online.

We are Blessed to have had her as our mother and Nana. She will be deeply missed.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 am on Wednesday, July 6 at Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church, Piscataway, NJ.  Burial will follow the mass in Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 5- 8 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ.
