Jean B. Kasharian, 88 of the Vienna section of Independence Twp. NJ passed away on April 2, 2023 in the Hackettstown Regional Medical Center, Hackettstown, NJ. Born in Abel, Md., Jean was the daughter of the late Howard & Pearl Quade Hayden.
Jean has lived in Independence Twp. since 1958 having moved from Dunellen, NJ. She and her beloved late husband, John Kasharian, Sr. owned and operated Kash’s Vegetable Farm of Independence, NJ for over 65 years. Known for her work ethic, Jean’s life was her loving family and the farm. On occasion, she enjoyed traveling to Mt. Airy Casino to play the slot machines with her family and friends. Jean was a member of St’s Peter & Paul R.C. Church in Great Meadows, NJ.
Jean is survived by four children; Sandra (Theodore) Kasharian-Meixsell, Timothy (Diane) Kasharian, John A. Kasharian Jr., Alfred (Alessandra) Kasharian & Two sisters, Dottie Moore Crowder & Lois Justice. Six loving grandchildren; Theodore, Matthew, Rachel, Kristina, Angeline & Kyle. One loving great grandson Hunter.
Her husband, John C. Kasharian, Sr. passed away in 2020.
Predeceased by sisters & brothers: Claire, Mary, Edward, Harriet and Josephine.
Viewing hours will be from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, April 10th at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ, 07840. The funeral will be on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 11:00am in the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows, NJ.
