William A. Majcher
1955 – 2025
Bill (William) Albert Majcher, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on June 26th, 2025 in Effort, PA after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He would have celebrated his 70th birthday on July 2nd.
Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, in 1955 to Walter and Helen Majcher. Bill grew up in Linden, NJ with his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Bill attended St. Mary’s Of The Assumption High School in Linden, NJ and graduated in 1973. He served in the US Navy on the USS Independence aircraft carrier in 1974. Bill worked as a Metallurgist and Senior Research Technician for Allied Signal and Honeywell International. Bill lived in Hackettstown, NJ for over 30 years before moving to Effort, PA to be closer to his daughter.
Bill was a loving dog owner and enjoyed the companionship of his canines throughout his life. If you visited him at his house a dog was always close by or in his lap. When his children were young, he enjoyed family camping trips in the summer including trips to Rhode Island and Florida. Bill happily volunteered to support his kid’s interests: Youth Soccer, Boy Scouts, Trinity United Methodist Church Youth Groups, and the Appalachian Service Project. Bill also enjoyed square dancing and was a member of the Kittatinny Rangers Square Dancing Club.
Bill is survived by his daughter Ellen Law and husband Scott Law of Sciota, PA; and his son Andrew Majcher and wife Laura Minnichelli of Franklin, MA; as well as his former wife, Luann Majcher, with whom he remained friends. He was the proud papa to four beloved grandchildren: Jaxson Law (12), Gunnar Law (11), Julia Majcher (8), and Archer Law (3).
Bill is also survived by his sister, Bobbi (Barbara Anne) Wojton, and brother, Walter Majcher. He was predeceased by his parents, Walter Majcher and Helen Antoniewicz Majcher, and his brother, Joseph Majcher.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 3rd, 2025 from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. A short service will begin at 6:30pm.
