McLeod, Marlon Philip March 27, 1963 - July 11, 2025

Obituary & Tribute: Marlon Philip McLeod
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marlon Philip McLeod, age 62, of Hackettstown, New Jersey, who departed peacefully at his home on July 11, 2025.

Born on March 27, 1963, in Marlboro, Massachusetts, Marlon was the cherished son of Peggy Wyatt McLeod and the late James Philip McLeod. He was a truly devoted son, a beloved brother to Ericka McLeod and Sean McLeod, and a loving uncle to his niece, Tayis McLeod, whom he particularly doted on.

Marlon dedicated many years of service as a driver for FedEx, from which he retired in 2020. Beyond his professional life, Marlon was known for his incredibly generous spirit and compassionate nature. Having faced his own health challenges in recent years, he possessed a remarkable empathy for others enduring difficult life situations. His kind-hearted and joking personality was a beacon of light to all who knew him, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.

Marlon had a vibrant passion for collecting comic books and action figures, a hobby that often led to lively and enjoyable debates about superhero movies and the actors who brought them to life. He also had an adventurous spirit, enjoying regional travels and an unforgettable three-week journey with his mother to New Zealand in 2018 to visit his brother Sean and brother-in-law Brian Muldoon.

Marlon’s warm presence, infectious humor, and genuine kindness will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will be forever cherished by his loving family: his mother, Peggy Wyatt McLeod; his brother, Sean McLeod and Brian Muldoon (brother-in-law); his sister, Ericka McLeod; and his niece, Tayis McLeod. He will be reunited in salvation with his father, James Philip McLeod, who preceded him in death.

Visitation will be held at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ on Thursday, July 17, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM.

A memorial service to celebrate Marlon’s life will be held at the funeral home following the visitation at noon on Thursday, July 17, 2025.

Burial to be in Pequest Union Cemetery, Great Meadows, NJ

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association in memory of Marlon Philip McLeod.
