William “Bill” John Naughright, 61, passed away at home on June 9, 2025 after his ongoing battle with cancer. Bill was surrounded by love and embraced by family as he entered his eternal home with grace and peace.
Bill is predeceased by his mother, Barbara (Pisorchik) Naughright, father, James Naughright, and brother, James “Jimmy” Naughright.
He is survived by his daughter, Kelsey Naughright and sister, Jamie Naughright.
Bill spent his childhood at the family owned Bodine’s General Store and at the Long Valley Fire Department where his father served as chief. Both became cherished parts of his upbringing. The family later relocated to Hackettstown. He often reminisced with a smile on his face about the countless memories he made growing up with his beloved “Fourth Street friends.”
Bill was known for his lifelong love of golf, having trained professionally in Florida in his early career. His devotion to the game never faded and he shared his passion generously with friends and family throughout life. He enjoyed building model cars and worked extensively in the sprint race car industry across the tri-state area.
Above all, his greatest joy in life was being a devoted and loving father to his daughter, Kelsey.
Bill dedicated 10+ years working for Edible Garden of Belvidere. He established countless lifelong friendships and the family is forever grateful for their support over the past year.
We would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, Dr. Anjali Desai and Dr. Eric Whitman of Atlantic Health.
A celebration of life will be held privately.

October 8, 2025 at 5:51 pmDear Billy, I always found you to be competitive in many ways. I hope that you are having a blast with mom, dad, Jimmy, Aunt Georgeanne, Uncle Fred, Inga, Hoga, Toasty, Missy, Babe, Shawn, Shiva, Shanti, Kitty the Kitty, TC, Shazam and Joey and all the many other critters that we had growing up. I hope that Brett Hearn and many of your friends get together to celebrate your life with a significant to donation to the Long Valley Fire Department in your name. Maybe a bar stool for you and Bucky. I am sure you are golfing away still. Great photo of you. I remember that day very well.
