Joyce Audrey Oshrin Obituary

Joyce Oshrin died Sunday, August 31^st, 2025 at Grace Park Senior Living in Stroudsburg, PA.

Family and friends are invited to Pequest Union Cemetery located at 36 Cemetery Road, Great Meadows, N.J. 07838, where a Graveside service will commence at 12 noon. On Friday, September 5, 2025  it will be followed by a small pay your own way lunch at the River Star Diner at 14 NJ-57, Hackettstown, NJ 07840

Joyce was born NYC to her parents Dr. Louis and Dorothy Schneider. She attended PS#6 in West New York and went on to Weehawken High School. She earned A B.A. in elementary and Secondary Education from the University of Wisconsin and an Associate Arts degree in Genealogical Research from Brigham Young University. She was married to Dr. Robert M. Oshrin on June 20, 1954, at the Essex House in Newark, NJ, and they remained married until his passing in November of 2015. Joyce and Robert lived most of their life in Succasunna, NJ until 1986 when they moved to Panther Valley, Allamuchy, N.J., where they were members of the Panther Valley Golf and Country Club.

Joyce was noted for her involvement in community activities, her book club membership, her genealogical research, and helping out at local schools. She loved knitting and needlework, and quilting. She was a much loved daughter, wife and mother. She will be missed

She is survived by her sons, Richard and Ronald & his wife Stacey, her grandchildren, Alex, Brianna, and Jillianne, and her brother Dr. Bernard Schneider.
