Carol Ann Quimby, 87 of Califon, NJ passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at Little Brook Nursing Home in Califon, NJ. Born December 24, 1935 in New Jersey, Carol was the daughter of the late Albert & Ida Ries.
Prior to her retirement, Carol worked for Verizon of Newark, NJ in the Clerks Department. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Carol has lived in the Califon area for the past 35 years coming from Long Valley, NJ and Hackettstown, NJ.
Carol is survived by her beloved husband, Roger F. Quimby; Two sons, Frank Cleveland, Jr. & Peter Quimby. One daughter, Patricia Kietrys. Two Brothers, Albert Ries & Larry Ries. Two sisters, Joan Carpenter & Phyllis Koster. She is also survived by many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
A memorial visitation will be held service on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 10 am – 11 am with services to begin at 11 am at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ. July 9, 2023 at 5:45 pmMy condolences to her husband Roger and their family. I also worked with Carol back when NJ Bell existed and transitioned to Bell Atlantic. We lost touch when I moved to Florida 1990. We shared some good times though at the 210 Malapardis Road office. I remember her being clever, funny and a good friend. Rest in Peace Carol.
