Rashap, Patricia (Pat) Wahl October 15, 1940 - September 6, 2025

Patricia (Pat) Wahl Rashap passed away Saturday, September 6 th , 2025, in Hackettstown, NJ, peacefully, surrounded by her family. She was 84 years old.

Pat was born October 15, 1940 in Belmont, California. She studied vocal music at a small college in Utah where she met her first husband, Robert (Bob) Joseph Wahl. The couple married in 1959, then relocated to Randolph, New Jersey in 1963. Pat was a devoted early childhood educator for many years in addition to raising 5 children of her own.

After the loss of her husband Robert (Bob) in 2014, Patricia married her lifelong friend, Paul Rashap in 2016. They were married until Paul’s death in 2021.

Pat is survived by her five children: Carol Resor, Janet Hughes, Robert Wahl Jr. and his wife JoAnn Wahl, Susan Falleni and her husband David Falleni, and Mary Borrelli and her husband Michael Borrelli. She had eleven grandchildren: Joy Resor, Samantha Gomez, Abigail Hughes, Katherine Edwards, David Falleni, Robert Resor (deceased), Alyssa Falleni, Candice
Wahl, Dominick Falleni, Daniel Borrelli, and Angelina Falleni. She also had 2 great grandchildren: Arabella Gomez and Scarlett Gomez.

Pat was predeceased by her first husband Robert Joseph and second husband Paul Rashap.

Pat took pride in her years as an early childhood educator and worked until she was 72, earning certifications into her late 60’s. Pat also worked as a receptionist for a veterinary clinic, as an animal carer for the Seeing Eye in Morristown, as an administration assistant at two colleges, and as a receptionist for a dentist office. But most of all, Pat was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed. While her children were in school, Pat was the President of the Randolph PTA and ran the annual PTA fairs, which families still remember fondly. The fairs were her passion projects. One year, she sewed hundreds of stuffed animals as prizes for the fair games. She was also involved in her church and led several Sunday school classes and marriage guidance sessions. As her neighbors on La Malfa Road will remember, she was a caring and sociable neighbor, whose house was a home to her children’s friends as well as her
family. Pat enjoyed painting, tennis, bridge, puzzles, and playing the piano.

A private funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, for immediate family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.cochranfuneral.com.
