Roman Volochiy, 35, passed away on July 31, 2020. His father and friends were by his side when he drifted off to be with the Lord.
He was born to Galyna and Vasyl Volochiy on October 14, 1984 in Ukraine. Roman moved to USA at an early age, and was a resident of Hackettstown, NJ.
His greatest aspiration was playing the guitar and philosophical conversations with people. He was dedicated to helping people, caring about their well-being. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and was a kind and compassionate spirit.
He was a loving father, caring son, generous brother and devoted friend.
Roman is survived by his parents, Galyna and Vasyl Volochiy, his daughter, Aiiaa Fediuk, his sister, Lyudmyla Grynyshyn, his brother-in-law, Andriy, and many friends he found throughout his life.
Visitation for Roman will be held at the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840 on Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 6-9 pm with services to begin at 7:30 pm. Cremation will be private.
In addition a memorial church service will also be held at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Church in Great Meadows on Saturday, August 8th at 4pm.
