Ronald D. Kuntz April 2, 1949 - August 21, 2020

Ronald D. Kuntz, age 71, a long time resident of Budd Lake, NJ passed away on August 21, 2020 at Morristown medical center. He is the son of the late Raymond and Edna Kuntz. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Aukje, one brother, Robert and his wife Connie who reside in Ballwin, MO,. One niece, Jill and her husband Matt who reside in Olathe, Kansas, One nephew Steven who resides in Ballwin, MO.
Ronald graduated from Pope John High School in Sparta, NJ and then volunteered to join the United States Navy. He was stationed on an air craft carrier, the USS Forrestal for four years. He loved working on the aircraft carrier but in all the years we were married he never wanted to ever go on a cruise.
After being honorably discharged, he received his Bachelor’s degree in business with honors from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ. He always wanted to run his own business and went into the landscaping business which he enjoyed very much for many years. He was the first landscaper at the Village Green Apartments. He made sure the grounds looked spectacular. A few years after that, he did 14 lawns per week.
In 1991 he joined Home Depot in Succasunna, NJ to be the garden manager which he absolutely enjoyed. He was a loving husband and was very caring. He came across as aggressive but had such a soft heart. In fact, when his wife became ill and survived, he took great care of everything for a good year before she could do things on her own again. That was the time with the saying “Till Death do us part no matter what”. He loved watching the Yankees, Law and Order, and wrestling. His greatest hobby was working. May my husband rest in peace. I took great care of him, like he did with me.
A memorial visitation will held at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown NJ 07840 on September 2, 2020 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm with a memorial service starting at 7:00pm and a military service at 7:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association. P.O. Box 417005 Boston, MA 02241-7005.
