Prudence Mary Scarpelli (nee LaScala) age 81, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on June 25, 2023.

Prudence was born in Newark on May 17, 1942 before moving to Caldwell, where she raised her beautiful son and daughter. Her hobbies, besides loving to spend time with her grandchildren included reading, crossword puzzles, going to tricky trays, watching crime tv shows, and playing bingo. She was a member of the Hackettstown Moose Lodge where she loved to spend time with the friends she made there. She also liked the Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys.

Prudence was predeceased by parents Thomas and Rose LaScala.

She is survived by Don Scarpelli [son], Debbie Whitney [daughter] and husband Jerry, Geralyn and Samantha Whitney [granddaughters] and many wonderful cousins and friends that she loved.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Prudence M. Scarpelli will be held on Thursday July 6th from 4-7 pm at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840.
